Park Junior School is situated in the centre of Stonehouse, a small town with a population of about 7000. Stonehouse is about 4 miles from Stroud, 9 miles south of Gloucester and within 3 miles of the M5. It is in a beautiful countryside area with some industrial development.

The main building opened in 1985, and since then various new classrooms and extensions have been added.  In 2003 a new library and ICT suite were added. In 2006 six of the classrooms were completely rebuilt and refurbished and we await the next phase of this work to include the rest of the school. 

We have extensive grounds with sports pitches, a garden area and a wild area with many varieties of trees and plants.

Facilities in the playground include an outdoor classroom, play equipment, picnic tables and cycle racks. A multi-use games area to be shared with the local community is being planned.

The school is adjacent to Park Infant School and Family Centre and there is also a Breakfast and After-School club facility. We work very closely with our partner schools including Maidenhill Secondary School in Stonehouse and other secondary schools within the area.
